Sport cars are one of the luxury manifestations that people like to have in their vacations or even in their daily life. Two of the famous and most expensive sport cars are the Bugatti Veyron and the Porsche 911 turbo. However, there are some similarities and some differences between them.
The most obvious similarity between the two cars is that they are sport cars. Also, both of the cars’ engines are at the back of the car. Another similarity is that only two passengers can ride each car at a time.The Bugatti Veyron is the same as the Porsche 911 turbo in that the two cars are provided with a very advanced and developed programming. In addition, both cars are AWD drive which is good for the safety. One more thing in common between the two cars is that both of them have 2 doors only.
There are mane main differences between the Bugatti Veyron and the Porsche 911 Turbo despite all the similarities. The first difference is the price of the Bugatti Veyron $1,980,000 and the Porsche 911 Turbo $137,360 (Bovingdon, Jethro)(2010, Sept p56). Another difference is that the size of the engine for Bugatti Veyron 8.0liter and1001- horse power while the Porsche 911 Turbo is 3.6Liter and has 480-hp horse power. Yet another difference is that Porsche 911 Turbo 6 cylinder and the Bugatti Veyron 16 Bugatti Veyron (Adams, Eric, Joe Brown, and Dan Lienert)(2010 Oct 12 p71). Yet another difference is that the transmission of the Bugatti Veyron is a 7-speed twin-clutch auto but the Porsche 911 Turbo has two different transmissions; first one with 6-speed manual and the other one with 5-speed automatic. The two cars are different from each other in that the wheelbase in the Bugatti Veyron it is 106.7 in, whereas the wheelbase in the Porsche 911 Turbo is 92.5 in. also, the size of the body different, in the Bugatti Veyron the length is 175.7 in,and the width78.7 in, and the height is 47.4 in, but in the Porsche 911 Turbo the length is 175.2 in the width72.9 in, and the height is 51.2 in (Renolds, Kim)(2007 Sept p158)
Overall, the differences outweigh the similarities. In my opinion, I would prefer the Bugatti Veyron for the following two reasons.the first reason is that Bugatti Veyron faster than Porsche 911 and the size of the body of the Bugatti Veyron is smaller than the Porsche 911.
